Mid-Tier Advocacy, Inc. Business Focused Breakfast was a sold out event with The Department of Defense and GovPurchase on Tuesday May 16th. The event was a business-based discussion that explored changes that are underway within the Department’s Office of Small Business Programs, including news about the restructure within that department and how it may impact the programs, which it supports. The breakfast then pivoted to online tools that can help firms win more work with a presentation, by Mr. Kim Harwell, owner of GovPurchase and board member of Mid-Tier Advocacy, Inc.
The event’s keynote speaker was Ms. Alice Williams, who is currently the Acting Deputy Director of the Office of Small Business Programs. She is in charge of the socioeconomic programs and the Rapid Innovation Fund Program. Prior to her current Ms. Williams served as the Director of Communications-Electronic Command for the US Army. She was the main advisor for the Major General, The Army Secretariat Senior Executive at The Small Business Administration.
The Small Business Programs include: Small Business Innovation Research Program, Rapid Innovation Fund, Mentor Protégé and the Indian Incentive Program.
